Ken McCartney (66)

Ken McCartney played on the wing for Hawick before picking up his whistle. He was once famously kicked by a spectator after a game at Stradey Park in 1989. After retiring from refereeing, he turned to politics and became provost of Hawick. He stood as an independent candidate in the 2003 SBC elections and won the constituency of Weensland. "
